FAQs

The required strapping seal size is determined by the width of the steel coil that you are securing. Our strapping seals are available in three different sizes, designed for three coil thicknesses: 13 mm, 16 mm and 19 mm.

Automatic strapping machines are quicker for light to medium applications, but they are not designed for steel strapping coils. Using strapping seals with manual tools gives the strength needed for heavy duty pallets and loads. Manual tools can be moved around the warehouse or yard, making them more practical for securing loads in different locations.

If you require the additional strength of steel coils but would prefer not to use steel strapping seals, our heavy-duty sealless combination tool provides a comprehensive all-in-one solution for tensioning and sealing lengths of steel coil, without the need for strapping seals.

No. Strapping seals are designed for single use only. Once crimped and removed, they cannot be reapplied and should be recycled as scrap steel.

Steel Strapping Seals for Pallet Security

Strapping seals are an essential component of securing pallets with steel coils. Because steel coils are heavier and denser than machine strapping coils, they are not suitable for use with automatic strapping machines. Instead, steel strapping seals should be used to secure steel coils, as they provide excellent security without the need for a strapping machine. However, steel strapping seals should ideally be used in conjunction with steel strapping tools, especially a steel strapping sealer and tensioner, to ensure a tight fit and a strong seal to protect your products.
