Our heat shrink systems work to stabilise and protect inventory during storage, loading and shipping. By combining a heat shrink gun with the appropriate shrink wrap pallet cover, your business can develop an efficient system to protect and ship inventory while minimising product loss and ensuring that your customers receive their orders intact and professionally packaged.

Adding a heat shrink system to your inventory can be a valuable investment for businesses involved in high-volume shipping, especially those that dispatch goods via pallet.

If you are looking for a way to shrink wrap smaller items, like small boxes or individual products, you could consider a heat shrink chamber machine. Instead of wrapping entire pallets, these machines will allow you to shrink individual items, and so may be more suitable for small or medium-sized businesses that do not work with pallet-sized orders.

Heat Shrink Systems FAQs

How Do Heat Shrink Systems Work?

Heat shrink works as part of a simple three-step process:

  • 1. Load your products onto the appropriately sized pallet.
  • 2. Wrap your products securely with an appropriate pallet shrink cover.
  • 3. Apply a heat shrink gun to shrink the cover to an appropriate size, tightly covering your products with secure, stable packaging that prevents encroachment from environmental factors like damp and dirt.

What Size Heat Shrink Wrap Should I Use?

Our heat-shrink pallet covers are available in three different sizes to match international standards for pallets:

  • 1200mm x 800mm: Euro Pallets – These are best used for businesses engaged in high volume shipping to and from Europe
  • 1200mm x 1000mm: UK Standard Pallets – These are best for businesses engaged primarily in domestic shipping
  • 1200mm x 1200mm: US Pallets – These are the most appropriate for businesses engaged in trans-Atlantic shipping.

All of our shrink wrap covers are manufactured to 500 gauge thickness, making them highly resistant to ripping, tearing and puncture as well as providing superior protection against environmental damage.

What Is Heat Shrink Made From?

Heat shrink pallet covers are made from Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), a robust type of plastic that is compatible with heat shrink systems.
