Steel strapping coils are among the most effective ways to strap pallets of goods for dispatch and delivery. Steel coil strapping is most suitable for extremely heavy loads, as the additional tensile strength of steel will minimise shifting and movement by the greatest degree possible. Please note that steel strapping coils are extremely heavy, ranging in weight from 17kg per coil to 48kg per coil, so be sure to use correct manual handling methods when receiving and using coils.

Steel Strapping Coils FAQs

What Is Break Strain?

Break strain refers to the amount of tension a strap can handle before breaking. Because steel is such a strong material, it has an absolutely incredible resistance to breakage, with a breaking strain ranging from 560kg for our 13 mm x 0.5mm steel coil to a break strain of 2040kg for the 32 mm x 0.8 mm, providing the maximum possible protection against damage.

Can I Use Steel Coils In My Automatic Strapping Machine?

Due to their weight and density, steel strapping coils are not suitable for automatic strapping machines. We would recommend selecting specially designed steel coil strapping tools to tension and seal steel coils and provide excellent protection and stability for your products.
